Selling a Porsche Is Not Like Selling an Ordinary Car
Most Porsche owners in the Central Valley discover the same thing when it comes time to sell. The instant-offer websites treat a 911 like a used sedan. They run the VIN, apply a generic depreciation curve, and return a number that ignores everything that actually makes the car worth what it is worth.
They do not price the options. A Sport Chrono package, ceramic composite brakes, a specific paint-to-sample color, the right wheel and seat combination. On a well-specified car these can represent tens of thousands of dollars of original cost and a meaningful share of resale value. An algorithm that only knows year, model and mileage cannot see any of it.
We can. That is the difference between an automated offer and an appraisal by people who sell these cars every day.
You Do Not Have to Buy Anything From Us
This is the part owners are often surprised by. We buy Porsches outright. No trade required, no obligation to purchase, no pressure to roll into something new.
If you do want to trade, California's sales tax treatment of trade-ins is worth understanding before you decide, and we will walk you through the math on your specific car. But if you simply want to sell, we will write you a check.
We Also Buy Cars That Are Not Porsches
Our used inventory is not limited to the brand on the building, and neither is our buying. If you have a well-kept vehicle of another make, bring it in. We appraise it the same way.
What We Look At
A thorough Porsche appraisal covers:
- Original build specification. The window sticker or build sheet tells us what the car left Stuttgart with. Find it if you can; it is worth money.
- Service history. Documented maintenance at a Porsche dealer or a known independent specialist materially affects value, particularly on cars with the IMS-era concerns or high-strung flat-sixes.
- Mileage in context. Low mileage helps, but a car that has been driven and maintained often appraises better than one that sat.
- Cosmetic and mechanical condition. Paint, wheels, interior wear, tire age, brake life.
- Current market demand. Some Certified Pre-Owned models and specifications are moving quickly right now. That works in your favor and we will tell you when it does.
What to Bring
- The vehicle and both key fobs
- Title, or your lender's payoff information if there is a loan
- Valid California driver's license
- Service records, window sticker and any documentation you have
The Process
One visit. We appraise the car while you are here, explain how we arrived at the number, and put the offer in writing. The offer is good for a defined period so you have time to think, and there is no obligation at any point.
If you have a loan or lease on the car, we handle the payoff directly, including the case where you are upside down.
